HASTA KARYA DARI BARANG BEKAS PLASTIK
Plastik merupakan limbah yang tidak bisa diurai oleh tanah. Sampah ini pun menjadi penyumbang sampah terbesar di dunia. Sifat bahan plastik yang solid menjadikannya sebagai material yang sulit terurai dalam waktu singkat. Sekalipun dapat terurai, plastik hanya akan berubah bentuk menjadi serpihan-serpihan dan tidak dapat hilang sama sekali. Berbeda dengan sampah organik yang mudah membusuk.
Limbah plastik yang tidak sedap dipandang mata ini rupanya bisa dijadikan hasta karya dari barang bekas yang bernilai ekonomi tinggi. Limbah plastik yang sering dijumpai adalah bekas pembungkus makanan ringan, bekas pembungkus deterjen, dan botol-botol plastik bekas air mineral. Limbah plastik seperti itu bisa dikreasikan menjadi barang-barang yang dapat digunakan, sekaligus bisa dijadikan sebagai ladang bisnis baru.
Limbah plastik bekas deterjen dan makanan ringan, biasanya, dapat dibuat berbagai kreasi bentuk tas, dompet, tatakan gelas. Bahkan, bisa juga dimanfaatkan untuk membuat bingkai foto. Sementara limbah plastik jenis botol bekas air mineral, biasanya, banyak diciptakan souvenir-souvenir cantik berupa bunga plastik yang sebelumnya telah diberi pewarna.
Pembuatan Hasta Karya Limbah Plastik
Pembuatan hasta karya dari limbah plastik ini memiliki proses dan bahan yang tergolong sederhana. Usaha yang bergerak di bidang pemanfaatan barang-barang bekas rata-rata juga hanya berskala kecil atau rumah tangga.
1. Tas dan Dompet
Limbah plastik bekas deterjen atau makanan ringan dibersihkan terlebih dahulu, kemudian dikeringkan dan dijahit agar membentuk lembaran-lembaran plastik. Setelah itu, bentuk pola berdasarkan kebutuhan.
Setelah pola selesai dibentuk, barulah proses menjahit dilakukan. Setelah melalui berbagai proses, tas dan dompet dari limbah plastik bekas dapat dipasarkan.
2. Tatakan Gelas
Limbah plastik juga bisa dimanfaatkan untuk membuat tatakan gelas. Sampah plastik yang telah dicuci dan dikeringkan di gunting memanjang dan dianyam. Pola anyaman tentu saja disesuaikan dengan permukaan gelas yang rata-rata bundar.
3. Bingkai Foto
Selain tas, dompet, dan tatakan gelas, bisnis barang bekas ini juga menciptakan beberapa variasi bingkai foto. Bahan pembuatan bingkai yang jamaknya terbuat dari kayu bisa digantikan oleh sampah plastik. Bahan yang digunakan sederhana, cukup menambahkan kardus atau karton bekas. Kreasinya pun bebas, bergantung ide-ide kreatif dari para pembuat kerajinan tersebut.
Bisnis ini sangat menarik untuk digeluti. Bahan baku yang tergolong mudah didapat, bisa disulap menjadi hasta karya yang bernilai ekonomi tinggi. Keuntungan yang didapat dari berbagai olahan limbah plastik ini juga cukup menggiurkan, mengingat bahan baku pembuatannya yang bisa didapatkan di mana saja.
Manfaat lain yang diperoleh apabila kita menekuni bisnis ini adalah terciptanya lingkungan yang bersih dan tanpa limbah plastik.
